BAKER'S HOTEL ROOM
Baker's packing his bags when he gets a knock at his door. He goes to answer it. It's Hope. She lets herself in.
Hope:
"Knock knock doc. We have some work to do."
Baker closes the door behind her.
Hope:
"Are you going somewhere?"
Baker:
"Yes am I. I'm leaving town. Do you want to come with me?"
Hope:
"Why are you leaving town? What happened?"
Baker:
"EJ DiMera wrote me a big fat check to leave Nicole alone and leave town."
Hope:
"And of course you took it."
Baker:
"It was either that or die or worst prison."
Hope:
"How is prison worse than death?"
Baker:
"Because if I'm dead then I wouldn't have to worry about someone trying to kill me."
Hope:
"That makes sense."
Baker:
"Are you come or not because I need to leave like right now."
Hope:
"Sure why not?"
Baker:
"Great let's go."
Hope:
"But first we have to make a little stop."
Hope is driving down the road as Baker sits in the passenger's seat.
Baker:
"So what do we need to do before we leave?"
Hope:
"That is for me to know and you to find out."
Baker:
"I thought maybe you would want to fill your partner in on what you're planning."
Hope:
"Oh like you did when you took the money from EJ to leave town. Were you even going to say goodbye?
Baker:
"Of course I was. I was going to call you when I was done packing so we could meet. I would have waited for you in the parking garage at the hospital, but Nicole saw me and then Brady and EJ."
Hope:
"Why were you at the hospital in the first place?"
Baker:
"I followed you there from the Pub."
Hope:
"I had a feeling someone was following me."
Baker:
"I just wanted to talk to you"
Hope:
"That's sweet. What about?"
Baker:
"About us and what is our next steps or were we done as a team?"
Hope:
"I'm not done until I'm done."
Baker:
"Is where we're going the last thing you need to do?"
Hope gets quiet.

CHAPTER 66 PREVIEW: DIMERA MANSION EJ puts the picture back on the mantel and wipes his tears.
Nicole
“What’s wrong EJ?”
EJ
“Nothing’s wrong.”
He says as he walks over to pour himself a drink.
Nicole
“Then why are you crying? And don’t tell me that you have something in your eye or you have allergies.”
EJ downs his drink as Nicole walks up to him.
Nicole
“Because I know that it’s neither. So tell me the truth. You know me. I’m going to keep pushing you and pushing you till you explode.”
EJ
“JOHNNY’S NOT MY SON”
He yells. Nicole’s shocked and confused at the same time.
Nicole
“What do you mean Johnny’s not your son?”
EJ
“He’s not.”
EJ pours himself another drink.”
Nicole
“Explain.”
EJ looks over at Nicole.
EJ
“Johnny needed a partial liver and I wanted to get tested to see if I was a match, but Daniel and Lexie found out that not only I’m not a match, but Johnny and I didn’t share any of the same markers. This means there is no way that he and I are related. Lucas on the other hand, perfect match.”
EJ downs his drink and pours another.
Nicole
“I didn’t know Johnny was sick.”
EJ
“He isn’t.”
Nicole
“Then why did he need a partial liver transplant?”
EJ
“He got hit by a car.”
Nicole
“When?”
EJ downs another drink.
EJ
“Last night.”
Nicole
“And you’re just telling me this now?”
EJ
“Well you haven’t been home. By the way, where have you been?”
Nicole
“I was helping a friend. Not that it’s any of your business.”
EJ
“This is coming from the person that just came in and demanded to know what was wrong with me.”
Nicole
“I was concerned.”
EJ
“Concerned? It was more like being nosy.”
EJ pours himself another drink.
EJ
“What friend were you helping out anyways, the good Dr. Baker?”
Nicole
“No, I wasn’t up to anything.”
EJ chuckles.
EJ
“Am I supposed to believe that? You are Nicole Walker after all.”
EJ downs another drink.
Nicole
“Oh and this is coming from EJ DiMera? Emphasis on DiMera.”
EJ
“So how were you helping this so called friend?”
Nicole
“I helped get Phillip out of jail.”
EJ
“What did the Kiriakis Prince do this time?”
Nicole
“The Salem PD seems to think that he ran me over, but I don’t think so.”
EJ
“What? Phillip ran you over?”
Nicole
“No, he couldn’t have.”
EJ
“Why are you so sure if the police think so?”
Nicole
“You know the Salem PD are not the brightest bulbs in the lamp.”
EJ
“So there was no evidence?”
Nicole
“Just a videotape.”
EJ
“Of?”
Nicole
“A car similar to Phillip’s hitting me.”
EJ
“I’m sure they could have got the make and model off the car.”
Nicole
“I’m sure also, but the videotape disappeared for some time who knows what could have happened for all we know that’s not the original. It could have been doctored or changed somehow.”
EJ
“That was Justin’s defense?”
Nicole
“That and I defended Phillip as well.”
EJ burst out laughing.
Nicole
“What the hell is so funny?”
EJ
“That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard in my life.”
Nicole
“Well he got off so it worked.”
EJ
“Bravo for Phillip.”
EJ goes to pour himself another drink, but Nicole stops him.
Nicole
“I think you’ve had enough.”
She touches his wrist. He looks at her. They stare at each other for a moment till he pulls her into a kiss. Nicole pushes him away then slaps him. EJ rubs his jaw.
Nicole
“You were just laughing at me.”
EJ
“I wasn’t laughing at you. I was laughing at the situation.”
Nicole
“You think it’s funny I got hit by a car?”
EJ rubs Nicole’s shoulders.
EJ
“No darling. I don’t think it’s funny you got ran over.”
Nicole
“You better not.”
EJ
“I’m sorry for laughing.”
Nicole
“And I’m sorry about Johnny.”
EJ
“It’s fine.”
EJ stops rubbing her shoulders and sits down on the couch.
Nicole
“No it’s not. You thought he was your son and now he’s not. And I’m sure you want to be at the hospital right now with him.”
EJ
“I would like to, but it’s not my place anymore.”
Nicole sits next to him.
Nicole
“You might not be Johnny’s biological father, but you are the only father that boy has known. He’s not going to just forget you and move on because Lucas is.”
EJ
“There’s nothing I can do about it anyways. Samantha won’t let me get anywhere near him ever again. I don’t even know how he’s doing.”
Nicole
“I’m sure Kate could fill you in.”
EJ
“I doubt it.”
Nicole
“We can think of something then.”
EJ
“We?”
Nicole
“Yes we are at our best when we work as a team.”
EJ
“Is Salem ready for that?”
Nicole
“I don’t know.”
EJ and Nicole smile at one another. They move closer to each other and kiss. They stop and gaze into each other’s eyes. EJ then takes Nicole’s hand and leads her upstairs. |

Kate walks in.

“So all your testing is done?”
Lucas
“Yes. Everything is good and Johnny’s good.”

“I did get a little peak at him before the doctors went in.”

“So what were you and Sami talking about?”
Kate
“I didn’t talk to Sami.”
Lucas
“Do you really want me to believe that?”
Kate
“Fine, I told her that I know that she’s up to something and it’s only a matter of time before Rafe finds out about it and leaves her pathetic ass.”
Lucas stares angrily at Kate. Around the corner, Sami’s checking her messages when she trips and falls on the floor.
Sami
“What the hell?”
Sami looks over to see what she tripped over and notices Phillip unconscious on the floor.”
Sami
“Oh my gosh Phillip.”
She crawls over to him to check his pulse.
Sami
“Oh good. You’re still breathing.”
She looks at her fingers and sees blood. She screams.
Sami
“Help, I need a doctor.”
Rex is walking down the hall when he hears Sami’s screams. He rushes over.
Rex
“Sami, are you ok?”
He looks down.
Rex
“Who’s this? Is he ok?”
Sami
“I’m fine, but Phillip’s not.”
Rex
“Phillip?”
Rex kneels down beside Phillip.
NURSE’S STATION
Nathan is on his phone making plans.
Nathan
“Yeah, for two? Great thanks.”
He hangs up just as Melanie walks up.
Melanie
“What are you up to?”
She smiles. Nathan turns around with a frown.
Melanie
“Are you still mad at me?”
Nathan takes a deep breath

“Yes”
Melanie seems disappointed.
JAVA CAFÉ
Stephanie is about to walk into the Java Café till she stops and turns and turns around. She has a feeling that someone is following her.
Stephanie
“Hello?”
She looks around, but doesn’t see anyone around. She turns back around to walk into Java Café when she bumps into Chloe and gets Chloe’s tea all over her.
Chloe
“Stephanie, I’m so sorry.”
Stephanie
“You bitch”
Stephanie shouts. Chloe’s shocked.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM
Bo walks off the elevator and Gus. He walks over to him.
Bo
“Gus?”
Gus
“Yes that’s right. And you’re Commissioner Bo Brady.”
Bo
“Yes I am. I would like to ask you a few questions about Vivian.”
Gus
“She was poisoned.”
Daniel walks over. Bo looks at Daniel.

“Is this true?”

“Yes it is. Vivian has been poisoned.”

Sami busts in. Kate and Lucas look at her.

“Speaking of the devil.”

“Kate, you have to come quick.”

“What’s wrong?”

“It’s Phillip, I found him unconscious.”
Lucas
“Oh my gosh.”
Kate
“Did you just leave him there?”
Sami
“No, Rex is helping him.”
Kate
“I have to go see him.”
Lucas
“Me too.”
Kate and Sami rush over to Lucas who’s trying to get out of bed.
Kate
“Oh no, you’re not going anywhere.”
Sami
“Kate and I agree on something.”
Lucas
“I need to see Phillip.”
Kate
“You will later. Right now you’re going to stay in bed.”
Sami
“Yes and I’m going to stay with you.”
Kate
“I can’t believe I’m condoning this, but if it’ll keep you put.”
Sami
“Oh I’ll keep him on his back.”
Kate glares at Sami.
Kate
“I’m going to see how Philip is doing and I’ll be back with an update.”
Kate walks out of Lucas’ room.
Lucas
“How bad was it?”
Sami
“He was still unconscious when Rex and the nurses got him off the floor and he was bleeding.”
Lucas looks worried.
Sami
“I’m sorry. I got him help as soon as I saw him.”
Lucas
“I know.”
Sami sits on the side of the bed and hugs Lucas.
JAVA CAFE
Chloe
“I said I was sorry. No need to call me names.”
Stephanie
“You should be used to it by now don’t you think?”
Chloe
“I don’t know what your problem is, but I wish you wouldn’t take it out on me.”
Stephanie
“You’re exactly who I should be taking it out on.”
Chloe
“Because I spilled my coffee on you?”
Stephanie
“No because you slept with Phillip and got pregnant giving Melanie a good reason to sink her nails in Nathan.”
Chloe
“Oh yes it’s my fault that Nathan wanted to be with Melanie? No. Go take it up with him. What Phillip and I did was wrong, but it happened and it’s fine.”
Stephanie
“Fine for you. You get to carry the Kiriakis golden child and I’m all alone.”
Chloe
“Nathan is not the only guy in town. Find another one.”
Stephanie
“It might be that easy for you, but it’s not for me.”
Chloe
“Well I’m sorry. Hopefully you’ll get over it one day. One day soon.”
Chloe starts to walk away, but Stephanie grabs her arm.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM
Daniel
“Vivian is now in a coma and we’re not sure when or if she will come out of it.”
Bo looks over at Gus.
Bo
“Did Vivian drink or eat anything this morning?”
Gus
“We both had the same thing for breakfast as well as Mr. Kiriakis.”
Daniel
“Are you feeling sick at all?”
Gus
“No I’m fine. I’m only upset about Vivian.”
Bo
“What about to drink?”
Gus pauses to think.
Gus
“Yes. I went upstairs to go upstairs to make sure she grabbed all her bags and she said she was going to make a drink.”
Bo
“Did anyone come pass this morning? Anyone out of the ordinary?”
Gus thinks.
Gus
“Yes a woman came pass this morning and was very angry with madam.”
Bo
“Who?”
Daniel gets a page.
Daniel
“I gotta take this.”
Bo
“It’s fine. I’ll meet up with you later.”
Daniel
“Ok.”
Daniel walks off. Bo focuses his attention back to Gus.
Bo
“So who visited Vivian this morning?”
Gus
“Her name was Stephanie.”
Bo seems confused.
NURSE’S STATION
Melanie
“Can we talk about it?”
Nathan
“We might as well since you spoiled the surprise.”
Melanie
“What surprise?”
Nathan
“I got us a room at the Salem Inn tonight.”
Melanie smiles.
Melanie
“Oh really?”
Nathan smiles back.
Nathan
“Yes really.”
Melanie
“Aww, that’s sweet.”
Nathan
“Yeah, I thought that we could use some time alone. You know without Aunt Maggie or…”
Melanie
“...Nick.”
Nathan
“It was getting kind of crowded.”
Melanie
“Yeah. Maybe we can get our own place?”
Nathan and Melanie smile at each other.
Melanie
“I saw that they’re some new apartments that are about to open up.”
Nathan
“I would like that a lot.”
Melanie
“Cool maybe we can go looking tomorrow?”
Nathan
“Yeah we could do that.”
Rex rushes in with Phillip on a stretcher.
Rex
“Clear the way”
He yells. Melanie and Nathan look over.
Nathan
“Oh my gosh. Is that?”
Melanie
“Phillip?”
Melanie freezes.
Melanie and Nathan rush over.
Nathan
“What happened?”
Rex
“Looks like a blow to the head. We’re going to examine him in exam room 1.”
Nathan
“I’ll help.”
Rex
“Ok.”
Rex and Nathan roll Philip into the room and close the curtain. Melanie takes a deep breath then pulls out her phone as Kate walks up.
Kate
“Melanie, do you know…”
Melanie
“…about Phillip? Yeah he’s in there.”
Kate turns and starts to walk away, but Melanie stops her.
Melanie
“But you can’t go in there.”
Kate looks at her.
Melanie
“Nathan and Dr. Brady will fix him.”
Kate
“I know. Rex will do whatever to help him.”
Melanie
“Oh yes Rex is your son.”
Kate
“Yeah and he hasn’t bothered to talk to me.”
Rex walks out of the room.
Kate
“But he will now.”
Kate walks over to him. Melanie dials a number on her phone.
JAVA CAFÉ
Stephanie
“I hope you get what’s coming to you one day like Vivian and Phillip.”
Chloe yanks her arm away from Stephanie. Stephanie smiles then walks into Java Café.
Chloe
“Crazy bitch.”
Chloe says to herself out loud. Then her phone rings. She answers without looking at the id.
Chloe
“Hello?”
Melanie
“Hey Chloe, it’s Melanie.”
Chloe
“Melanie?”
Melanie
“Yeah I know. It’s weird that I’m calling you, but I thought you would want to know that…um…Phillip is in the hospital.”
Chloe
“Yeah I know. He told me about Lucas and Johnny.”
Melanie
“No it’s not about that. It’s…Sami found him unconscious. It looks like someone hit him over the head with something.”
Chloe stands silently.
Melanie
“Chloe?”
Chloe snaps out of it.
Chloe
“I’m on my way.”
Chloe hangs up and rushes off. Stephanie walks out of Java Café and watches Chloe take off.

Chloe arrives at the hospital. She gets out of her car and heads for the elevator when she hears a noise. She stops and looks around. She doesn’t see anyone so she continues walking till she hears another noise. She turns around.
Chloe
“Hello? Is someone there?”
Someone walks out from behind some cars dressed in all black.
Chloe
“Can I help you?”
The person pulls out a knife then starts walking towards Chloe. Chloe panics. She turns around and runs to the elevator. The person takes off after her. Chloe gets to the elevator and repeatedly pushes the up button hoping it will open. She turns and sees the person getting closer. She turns back around just as the elevator doors open. She rushes in just as the person grabs her. She tries to break loose, but the person’s grip is strong. After struggling for a bit, Chloe’s able to break free and falls into the elevator as the person falls on the outside of the elevator. Chloe and the person get up at the same time. Chloe rushes to close the doors. The doors begin to close just as the person is able to stab her. Chloe falls to the back of the elevator as she holds her belly. She slowly pulls her hand away and sees her hand covered in blood. She screams and slides down to the floor.
NURSE’S STATION
Kate questions Rex about Phillip’s condition.
Kate
“So Rex how’s Phillip?”
Rex
“We stopped the bleeding. I paged Dr. Jonas to make sure everything’s to check the x-rays, but I think Phillip is just fine.”
Kate
“I’m glad. I was so worried when Sami told me about it.”
Rex
“When I saw him, I was too.”
Kate
“Well you never stay in touch.”
Rex
“I will for now on.”
Kate
“Good. Can I go see him?”
Rex
“Yes you can.”
Kate walks into Phillip’s room. Rex gets on his phone and calls Mimi. She doesn’t answer so he leaves a message.
Rex
“Hey Mimi, uh, call me when you get this. I have some news.”
Rex hangs up. Nathan walks up to Melanie.
Melanie
“How’s Phillip?”
Nathan
“He’s doing just fine.”
Melanie
“Oh thank goodness.”
Melanie and Nathan hug.
DIMERA MANSION
EJ and Nicole climb into bed together. They kiss softly as they make love between the sheets alternating positions.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM
Bo
“Does Stephanie have a last name?”
Gus
“I’m not sure.”
Gus looks at the elevator as Stephanie walks off.
Gus
“It was her.”
Bo turns around and sees Stephanie. She looks over them and smiles. Bo looks at Gus.
Bo
“She was at the mansion?”
Gus
“Yes arguing with Vivian because she thinks she had something to do with some guy breaking up with her.”
Bo seems confused.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Daniel waits for the elevator. The elevator doors open and he sees Chloe lying on the floor. He rushes in to check on her.

“Chloe? Chloe?”
He says as he holds her in his arms.

Victor is having some coffee when Maggie walks in. She sees him and walks over to say hello.

“Hello Victor.”
Victor looks up and smiles.

“Maggie, hello. Have a seat. I’ll order something for you.”
Maggie
“Ok.”
Maggie takes off her coat as Victor signals for the waiter. He walks over.
Waiter
“Yes Mr. Kiriakis.”
Victor
“Bring the lady a cup of your best tea and a muffin.”
Waiter
“Right away sir.”
The waiter walks off as Maggie takes a seat.
Maggie
“Thank you Victor, but the tea would just be fine.”
Victor
“Nonsense. What’s tea without a muffin?”
Victor says before taking a sip of his coffee. Maggie smiles.
Maggie
“You’re right about that.”
Victor
“Of course I am.”
The waiter comes back with some tea and a muffin for Maggie.
Waiter
“Here you go ma’am. Enjoy”
Maggie
“Thank you.”
Maggie takes a sip of tea.
Maggie
“By the way, you look very nice today. Did Vivian help you pick out your tie?”
Victor
“Why thank you and no. The only thing I’d let that woman pick out is a casket for herself.”
Maggie’s surprised.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM
Bo looks over at Stephanie then back at Gus.
Bo
“Are you sure that was the woman that was at the mansion?”
Gus
“Yes I am. Just ask her yourself.”
Bo walks over to Stephanie.
Stephanie
“Hey Uncle Bo, is everything alright?”
Bo
“You tell me.”
Stephanie
“What do you mean?”
Bo
“Did you visit the Kiriakis mansion this morning?”
Stephanie looks over at Gus who gives her a dirty look then looks at Bo.
Stephanie
“Yes, yes I did.”
She smiles as she crosses her arms.
PHILLIP’S ROOM
Kate sits by Phillip’s bedside as he lays unconscious. She brushes his out of his face.
Kate
“Who the hell did this to you?”
Kate pauses to look at him.
Kate
“Whoever did this to you, they will pay for this.”
Phillip begins to stir. Kate gets excited.
Kate
“Phillip?”
Phillip opens his eyes. Kate smiles.
Kate
“Phillip, I’m so glad you’re awake.”
Phillip
“What? What happened?”
Kate
“You were hit over the head.”
Phillip
“What? How long was I out?”
Kate
“Not long, but I’m happy you’re up and you’re going to be just fine.”
Phillip
“Where’s Chloe? I want to see Chloe.”
Kate
“Screw Chloe”
Phillip stares at Kate who smirks.
NURSE’S DESK
Mimi and Belle rush off the elevator and over to Rex.
Mimi
“Rex, what happened? I got your message.”
Rex
“Phillip was attacked.”
Mimi
“Oh my gosh.”
Mimi covers her mouth.
Belle
“Is he ok?”
Rex
“He will be, but I want Dr. Jonas to look over him just to be sure since that’s his expertise. Kate’s in there with him now.”
Mimi
“That’s good that he’s not alone.”
Belle
“I’m so glad Phillip is going to be ok. Does Chloe know?”
Melanie and Nathan walk up.
Melanie
“I called her and let her know.”
Belle
“Thank you.”
Melanie
“You’re welcome.”
Suddenly, Daniel rushes off the elevator with Chloe in his arms.
Daniel
“I need some help right here.”
Everyone turns and is in shock to see Chloe bleeding in Daniel’s arms.
Belle
“Oh no, Chloe.”
Rex
“Exam room 2 is empty.”
Daniel rushes in and lays Chloe down on the bed. Everyone follows him in.
Daniel
“Ok we need to stop the bleeding and check the baby.”
Daniel says as he begins to shake. Melanie notices and starts to pull him back so that Rex and Nathan can take over.
Nathan
“We can handle this”
Daniel
“No, I need to help Chloe.”
Melanie
“I think its best that you come out here with me.”
Melanie and Daniel walk out of the exam room.
Daniel
“I should be in there helping Chloe.”
Melanie
“Nathan and Rex can handle this.”
Daniel stares at the exam room. Melanie turns his attention back to her.
Melanie
“You’re in no condition to help Chloe. You’re too worried about her and the baby.”
Daniel
“Yes I’m worried, but I’m fine.”
Melanie
“You’re shaking.”
Melanie holds his hands up for him to see. Daniel yanks his hands away from Melanie. He turns away and rubs his face with his hands.
Melanie
“What happened to Chloe?”
Daniel snaps around.
Daniel
“I don’t know. I found her in the elevator bleeding. Like why was she even here?”
Melanie remembers calling Chloe.
Melanie
“I know why she was here.”
Daniel
“You do? Why?”
Melanie
“I called her and told her about Phillip.”
Daniel
“What happened with Phillip?”
Melanie
“He was attacked.”
Daniel gets angry.
JAVA CAFÉ
Maggie
“Well if you don’t like Vivian that much then why are you married to her?”
Victor
“To keep an eye on her.”
Maggie
“Well I’ve heard about keeping your enemies closer, but marriage? Victor, you deserve to be happy.”
Victor
“I’ve tried happy and it didn’t work out.”
Maggie
“No offense but your taste in women isn’t really all that great.”
Victor
“Yeah I picked some interesting ones.”
Victor and Maggie laugh. They’re interrupted by one of Victor’s associates Chris.
Chris
“Excuse me Mr. Kiriakis.”
Victor
“Yes Chris.”
Chris
“Sorry if I’m interrupting.”
Victor
“It’s fine. Is everything okay at the office?”
Chris
“Everything’s fine. I’m here to bring you your phone. You left it at the first desk.”
Chris hands Victor his phone.
Victor
“Ah thank you Chris.”
Chris
“You’re welcome sir. I’m going to go and finish that report for you.”
Victor
“Alright. No rush on the report. Take your time.”
Chris
“Ok sir. Goodbye.”
Chris walks away.
Maggie
“He seems nice.”
Victor
“Yeah he’s a great guy to have a round. Very smart and hard working. Unlike my son who hasn’t shown up all day to work.
Maggie
“I’m sure Phillip has a good reason for skipping work. Maybe something’s wrong with Chloe and the baby?”
Victor
“Maybe”
Victor looks at his phone.
Victor
“Phillip called and left a message.”
Maggie
“Well check it.”
Victor plays the voicemail.
Phillip
“Hey dad, there’s something up with Vivian. She’s in the hospital. I think you should get down here when you get a chance. Ok, bye.”
Victor puts his phone down.
Maggie
“Is everything ok?”
Victor
“Yep. Everything’s fine. Just something with Vivian, she’s at the hospital.”
Maggie
“Oh my gosh, aren’t you going to see her?”
Victor
“I guess I should.”
Maggie
“Yes you should.”
Victor
“I’m off to the hospital right now.”
Maggie
“Good.”
Victor stands up and puts his coat on.
Maggie
“I better get going also.”
Maggie stands up. Victor picks her coat up off the back of the chair and helps Maggie put it on taking Maggie by surprised.
Maggie
“Thank you Victor.”
They stare at each other.
Victor
“You’re welcome.”
Victor smiles then walks out. Maggie smiles to herself.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Bo
“Why were you at the Kiriakis mansion?”
Stephanie
“Why do you ask?”
Bo takes a deep breath.
Bo
“Just answer the question.”
Stephanie
“Why are you getting an attitude with me?”
Stephanie gets defensive and drops her arms.
Bo
“I’m not. I’m just asking.”
Stephanie
“What did Gus say?”
Bo
“He said you were mad about your break up I’m assuming with Nathan.”
Stephanie
“Vivian is the one that was poising Chloe’s mind making her think that Daniel was cheating on her with Carly. That’s the whole reason why Chloe slept with Phillip and then she got pregnant and then Nathan left me for Melanie.”
Bo
“I understand you’re upset about that, but…”
Stephanie
“But what? Vivian got exactly what she deserved.”
Bo is shocked to hear Stephanie speak the ways she is.
Bo
“Stephanie, be honest with me. Did you poison Vivian?”
Stephanie stares at Bo.
PHILLIP’S ROOM
Kate
“Who care where Chloe is. You need to rest and get better.”
Phillip
“I care about Chloe.”
Kate
“I hope you mean you only care about her because she’s caring your baby.”
Phillip
“Do you really think that’s true?”
Kate
“No I don’t and I think that’s a huge mistake on your part.”
Phillip
“I don’t care, but I’m sure you’re going to tell me.”
Kate
“Yes. Chloe is poison. She will be the death of you if you don’t get your head on straight.”
Phillip
“My head is really hurting so I don’t really want to get into this.”
Kate
“Fine, but your head will get better and I will do all I can to drill it into your brain that you should stay away from Chloe.”
Phillip
“You need to get it through your head that I’m not.”
Kate
“Whatever. I’m going to see what’s taking Daniel so long.”
Phillip
“Daniel? He was the one working on me? Are you sure I was hit in the head?”
Kate
“Yes you were. Daniel hasn’t seen you yet. Nathan and Rex examined you. Daniel is just going to consult.”
Phillip
“Well I don’t want him to.”
Kate
“I’m sure he can’t hurt you by just looking at your X-Rays.”
Phillip rolls his eyes.
Kate
“You know, it’s not his fault that you screwed his fiancée.”
Phillip shakes his head.
Phillip
“Ouch”
Kate
“Well don’t do that.”
Kate
“I’ll be right back.”
NURSE’S DESK
Daniel
“Attacked? When?”
Melanie
“A few hours ago. Rex paged you. He wanted you to examine Phillip. He got hit in the head. Sami found him close to Lucas’ room.”
Daniel
“So wait. Phillip was attacked at the hospital?”
Melanie
“Yeah.”
The wheels in Daniel’s head begin to turn in his head.
Daniel
“Chloe being attacked, that’s Phillip’s fault. This is the DiMera’s retaliation for Phillip running Nicole over.”
Melanie
“What? No. Nicole is friends with Phillip and Chloe. I don’t see Stefano or EJ ordering hits or whatever on them.”
Daniel
“You do know that Nicole lies and is very manipulative. Who’s to say she wouldn’t just turn on them?”
Melanie
“I don’t think so plus Kate’s married to Stefano. He wouldn’t hurt her son no matter what he did. Especially for Nicole who no one really likes except Phillip and Chloe.”
Daniel
“Where is Phillip? I think it’s time I examine him.”
Kate walks out of Phillip’s room. Melanie stares at her in shock. Daniel notices and turns around angrily. Kate notices Daniel’s face.
Kate
“What’s wrong?”
Daniel’s face scrunches up as we stomps his way towards Kate. He walks passed her and enters Phillip’s room. Phillip looks at him.
Phillip
“Daniel, are you alright?”
Daniel
“You son of a bitch.”
Phillip is confused.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM
Gus walks over to Bo and Stephanie. Bo awaits Stephanie’s answer.
Stephanie
“No, I did not drug Vivian. And I can’t believe that you would think that I would do something like that.”
Gus
“You were there this morning and you were not happy with Vivian at all.”
Stephanie
“Yeah because of what she did, but I didn’t try to kill her.”
Gus
“If you did, I will find out.”
Bo
“Ok that’s enough both of you.”
Victor walks up.
Victor
“What’s going on here?”
They look over at Victor.
Gus
“Victor, you made it down finally.”
Victor
“Excuse me?”
Gus
“Vivian is in there fighting for her life.”
Victor
“What the hell happened to her?”
Gus
“She was drugged and now she’s in a coma.”
Victor looks at Bo.
Victor
“Is this true?”
Bo
“Yes.”
Victor
“Do you know who did it?”
Gus
“We’re looking at her.”
Victor looks around and sees Stephanie.
Victor
“Stephanie? Vivian can turn anyone crazy, but I don’t see Stephanie drugging her.”
Gus
“Well she did. She was the last person to be around Vivian.”
Victor
“Well you’re always around. How do we know you didn’t do it?”
Stephanie
“That’s a good question.”
Gus
“I would never hurt Vivian unlike the two of you.”
Bo
“Alright that’s enough.”
Gus, Stephanie, and Victor look over at Bo.
Bo
“We don’t know who did it.”
Stephanie
“So you think I’m innocent?”
Bo’s about to answer, but is interrupted by Gus.
Gus
“You were the last one at the mansion before Vivian passed out.”
Bo tries to speak again, but this time interrupted by Stephanie.
Stephanie
“No I think that was you.”
Gus gives Stephanie an evil look as she smirks at him.
Bo
“Can I speak?”
Stephanie
“Are we done here? I would like to get back to work.”
Bo
“Fine.”
Stephanie walks away.
Gus
“You’re just going to let her get away?”
Bo
“She’s not going far and there’s no proof that she did it.”
Gus
“You’re just going to let her get away with it because she’s your niece. Screw this.”
Gus walks off.
Victor
“Well he’s upset about Vivian.”
Bo
“And you’re not.”
Victor
“Why the hell should I be? I applaud whoever had the balls to off her.”
Bo
“She’s still alive.”
Victor
“What a shame.”
Bo shakes his head.
PHILLIP’S ROOM
Kate and Melanie rush in.
Kate
“Daniel, what the hell is wrong with you?”
Melanie
“Dad, calm down.”
Daniel
“Calm down? After what this bastard did?”
Phillip
“What do you think I did?”
Daniel
“You’re the reason Chloe’s laying in a hospital bed.”
Phillip
“Chloe’s in the hospital? What happened?”
Daniel
“Looks like she was stabbed in the stomach.”
Kate
“Oh my…the baby.”
Phillip
“How the hell is that my fault? I would never put Chloe in danger.”
Daniel
“You ran over Nicole. This is the DiMera’s revenge.”
Kate
“What? No, Stefano nor EJ would hurt Phillip or even Chloe for that matter.”
Daniel
“And you want me to believe that? It’s no coincidence that Phillip and Chloe both were attacked within hours of each other just hours after Phillip got off for running down Nicole.”
Phillip
“Nicole’s my friend. She helped me get off.”
Daniel
“Yeah so she can get her ultimate revenge. Kill Chloe’s baby.”
Phillip
“That’s my baby too.”
Daniel
“You don’t deserve Chloe or that baby. You’re a pathetic little child that has had everything handed to him. You don’t care about anyone but yourself. Not Melanie, not Chloe, not even that baby that she’s carrying. You don’t deserve anything that is good in life.”
Kate
“Alright that’s enough.”
Kate yells. She gets in Daniel’s face.
Kate
“You’re not going to talk to my son that way. I understand you’re upset about Chloe and the baby, but you have no right to go off on Phillip. You don’t know why she was attacked but I’m sure it has nothing to do with Phillip.”
Daniel breathes heavily.
Kate
“So if you’re going to continue to act like this then you need to get the hell out of this room and don’t come back.”
Kate points to the door. Daniel glares at Phillip intently with disgust before turning around and leaving the room. Melanie takes a deep breath then follows him out. Daniel leans on the nurse’s desk outside of Phillip’s room. Melanie walks up behind him.
Melanie
“Did you really have to do that?”
Daniel turns around.
Daniel
“You’re going to take his side after all that he did to you?”
Melanie
“It doesn’t matter what happened between Phillip and I he doesn’t deserve that. He’s not the reason why Chloe was attacked.”
Daniel
“And what makes you think that? You have no proof that he didn’t.”
Melanie
“And you have no proof that he did.”
Daniel pauses.
Daniel
“You know what? I don’t want to see your face right now.”
Melanie can’t believe what her father is saying to her. Daniel swallows her then walks away. Melanie tears up.
CHLOE’S ROOM
Rex was able to stop the bleeding. Chloe lies in the bed silently. Belle sits by her side holding her hand as Nathan checks her vitals.
Nathan
“Chloe’s stable.”
Rex
“It was lucky that the bastard that stabbed her missed the baby completely.”
Belle
“Yes thank God. How much longer do you think she’ll be out?”
Chloe begins to stir.
Belle
“Chloe?”
Chloe opens her eyes.
Chloe
“Why am I in the hospital? What happened?”
Chloe remembers being stabbed.
Chloe
“Oh no. My baby.”
She rubs her belly.
Belle
“Your baby is fine.”
Chloe
“But I was stabbed.”
Belle
“The knife missed the baby.”
Chloe
“Really?”
Chloe looks around.
Rex
“Yeah really.”
Chloe smiles.
Chloe
“Phillip, how is he doing? Melanie called and said he got hit over the end.”
Belle
“Phillip’s doing great. He’s just down the hall.”
Chloe
“I want to see him.”
Rex
“I’ll go get him.”
Chloe
“Thank you Rex.”
Rex leaves the room.
Nathan
“I will leave you two ladies to talk.”
Nathan also leaves.
Belle
“Mimi was here also, but she had to go check on some patients. She’ll be back in later.”
Chloe
“Wow everyone all worried about little ole me.”
Belle
“That’s what friends are for.”
Chloe and Belle smile at one another.
NURSE’S STATION
Melanie tries to continue her work, but can’t get the fight with her dad out of her mind. She begins to cry when Nathan walks up.
Nathan
“What’s wrong?”
Melanie looks at Nathan then rushes over to hug him. He hugs her back.
PHILLIP’S ROOM
Phillip
“The nerve of him thinking this is my fault. For all we know he did it.”
Kate
“Calm down. There’s no use getting all upset about this. Daniel’s gone.”
Rex interrupts.
Rex
“Sorry to interrupt.”
Kate
“It’s fine.”
Phillip
“How’s Chloe?”
Rex
“She’s awake and asking for you.”
Phillip
“I want to see her.”
Rex walks over to help Phillip out of bed.
Kate
“Well I’m glad that Chloe is doing fine.”
Phillip
“I’m sure you are mom.”
Phillip says as he gets to his feet.
Kate
“Of course I am. Why wouldn’t I? She’s carrying my grandchild.”
Kate smiles innocently.
Phillip
“I can believe you care about the baby, but not Chloe.”
Kate
“Well you know how I feel about her and that will never change.”
Phillip and Rex shake their heads then walk out of the room.
Kate
“Why do my sons fall in love with sluts?”
CHLOE’S ROOM
Chloe and Belle are joking as Phillip and Rex walk in. Belle looks over and see them and gets Chloe’s attention. She looks over and locks eyes with Phillip. He smiles at her. He walks over to her and hugs her then they both touch her belly.
Chloe
“The baby fine.”
Phillip
“I’m glad that you both are fine.”
Belle awes.
Rex
“If you guys want to, you can find out the sex of the baby.”
Chloe and Phillip look at one another.
Chloe
“Do you want to know?”
Phillip
“Do you?”
Belle
“Yes I do”
Belle jumps up and says. Everyone laughs.
Chloe
“Yes Rex, we want to the baby’s sex.”
Rex
“Alright then.”
Rex walks over and sets up for the ultrasound. He places the gel on Chloe’s belly then works the wand over her belly.
Rex
“That’s a strong heartbeat.”
Everyone smiles as they watch the baby on the monitor. They get a good shot of the baby to see the sex.
Rex
“Well there you have it.”
Belle
“It’s a girl.”
Belle jumps up and down. Phillip and Chloe smile at one another.
NURSE’S STATION
Nathan and Melanie continue to hug.
Nathan
“What’s wrong? Is it Chloe or Phillip?”
Melanie
“No they’re fine. It’s my dad.”
They stop hugging at look at one another. Nathan wipes the tears from her eyes.
Nathan
“Did something happen to him?”
Melanie
“He went off on Phillip about Chloe. He thinks that Chloe’s attack has something to do with Phillip running over Nicole.”
Nathan
“Why? That doesn’t even make sense.”
Melanie
“He thinks the DiMera’s have something to do with it.”
Nathan
“But Kate’s married to Stefano and I’m sure he cares more about Kate than Nicole and who’s the say Nicole’s even carrying EJ’s kid?”
Melanie
“I don’t know. He was so mad and…”
Melanie tries not to cry.
Melanie
“He said he didn’t want to look at my face.”
Nathan hugs her again.
Nathan
“I’m sorry you guys got into a fight.”
Melanie
“Thanks.”
Nathan
“You know your dad has a point though.”
Melanie
“How?”
Nathan
“I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Phillip and Chloe both got attacked at the hospital within hours of each other.”
Melanie
“You’re right. I wonder what the connection is.”
Nathan and Melanie hug again as Stephanie walks off the elevator. She stops and watches them hug with an evil look on her face.
UNIVERSITY BREAK ROOM
Maxine walks up as Daniel pours himself some coffee.
Maxine
“Hey Dr. Jonas, everything alright?”
Daniel looks over at her.
Daniel
“Yeah I guess.”
Maxine
“I heard about Chloe. It seems like Dr. Brady took very good care of her. She and the baby will be alright.”
Daniel
“That’s good to hear.”
Daniel takes a sip of his coffee.
Maxine
“I also heard you were very upset about it.”
Daniel
“Yeah I was.”
Maxine
“Could it be you’re still in love with her?”
Daniel pauses.
Daniel
“Yeah you’re right. I am still in love with Chloe.”
Belle walks in and hears.
Maxine
“Well then you should tell her before its too late.”
Maxine says. She looks at Daniel before walking off. After she leaves, Belle walks over to Daniel.
Belle
“So you’re in love with Chloe?”
Daniel looks at her.
Belle
“I’m sorry to tell you, but she’s off limits.”
Belle crosses her arms. Daniel seems confused.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM
Kate walks off the elevator and sees Victor. She walks over to him.
Kate
“Victor, there you are.”
He turns around.
Kate
“I’ve been trying to call you.”
Victor
“Yeah I saw.”
Kate
“You didn’t think to call me back?”
Victor
“Not really.”
Kate
“Well it’s about your son.”
Victor
“What about him?”
Kate
“He was attacked earlier.”
Victor
“Is he ok?”
Kate
“Yeah he’s fine. He’s in Chloe’s room.”
Victor
“Chloe’s room? Here?”
Kate
“Yeah.”
Victor
“What happened to her?”
Kate
“Someone stabbed her.”
Victor
“And she survived? Damn.”
Kate
“She’s carrying our grandchild.”
Victor
“Don’t remind me. I’m still hoping she slept around with someone else so Phillip can be free of her.”
Kate
“I wish that too, but it’s not true. We can only hope that Phillip will open his eyes and take that baby away from Chloe and kick her to the curve when the baby’s born.”
Victor
“Yeah because he did so well with that other one he had. What’s his face?”
Kate
“Tyler?”
Victor
“Yeah, where is he at?”
Kate
“I don’t know.”
Victor
“That poor kid has no idea what he or she is in store for.”
Kate
“So what are we going to do?”
Victor
“Nothing until Chloe pops it out.”
Kate
“Unfortunately.”
Victor
“Well one good thing happened today.”
Kate
“What’s that?”
Victor
“Someone poisoned Vivian.”
Victor smiles and laughs a little.
Kate
“Is she dead?”
Victor
“Not yet. She’s in a coma.”
Kate
“Your concern is so touching.”
Victor
“Don’t tell me you’re going soft.”
Kate
“No just thought you would be smart enough to act like you’re sad to throw suspicion off yourself.”
Victor
“That wouldn’t work. I’m not that good of an actor. Plus Bo already knows how I feel about her.”
Kate

Kate laughs.
CHLOE’S ROOM
Chloe
“We’re going to have a girl.”
Phillip
“And she’s going to be just as beautiful as her mother.”
Chloe
“She’s going to look like you too.”
Phillip
“Why would you want any features from this ugly mug?”
Chloe
“You’re not ugly.”
Phillip
“I know. I’m hot.”
They laugh then Chloe gets serious.
Chloe
“I was so scared when Melanie called me and told me about you.”
Phillip
“Melanie called you?”
Chloe
“Yeah I couldn’t believe it either, but I’m glad.”
Phillip and Chloe gaze at one another before moving closer to one another and slow begin to kiss.
JAN’S ROOM
Mimi’s checking Jan’s vitals when Rex comes in.
Rex
“Taking care of Jan again.”
Mimi closes Jan’s file then turns to Rex.

“Better in a coma than wake.”
Rex
“True.”

“So how are Chloe and Phillip?”
Rex
“Doing better. They found out the sex of their baby.”

“Boy or girl? I’m thinking girl.”

“You’re good.”

“Yes.”

“I’m happy for them.”
Rex
“Me too. I can’t help but think about something Tyler.”

“Yeah and we’ve been here for weeks. It’s only a matter of time before he figures it out.”

“Great. Well I need to check on some patients. I’ll check on you later.”

Rex gives Mimi a quick kiss before leaving. Mimi smiles as she watches him leave. After Rex leaves, Mimi turns around and screams as she sees Jan standing up behind her smiling.

“What the hell?”
Jan
“Nice to see you too Mimi. It’s been a long time. We have some unfinished business to talk about.”
Jan lets out an evil laugh.
NURSE’S STATION
Nathan
“Well I’m going to check on Lucas then we can leave for the Salem Inn.”
Melanie
“I can’t wait.”
Melanie smiles slightly.
Nathan
“Is that a smile?”
Melanie
“Maybe”
Nathan
“Good. See you in a little bit.”
Stephanie watches Nathan with an evil look on her face. She waits till he walks away before she approaches Melanie.
Stephanie
“Aww.”
Melanie turns to Stephanie.
Stephanie
“Look at the cute little back stabbing couple.”
Melanie smirks.

Great chapter danniebear87. I'm so glad that Chloe, Philip and the baby are okay. LOL at Victor's comments about a comatose Vivian. I can hardly wait for Phloe's heart to heart. |

I love Kate's interactions with her sons.
The whole family is in the hospital! Vivian, Philip, Chloe, Lucas. OMG. I have a feeling that Stephanie is behind all of it.
Daniel was way out of line. I was surprised to learn that he's still in love with Chloe.
This was a really action packed chapter. Very excited that we found out both Philip and Chloe are okay, they're having a girl, and they're kissing. Yay.
