Konstantin is momentarily speechless after Maggie proposes marriage. He says he can’t put her in an uncomfortable situation with her friends & family by accepting. She tells them it is their problem, not hers. After all the things Victor did to make Konstantin suffer, this is the least she can do. He reluctantly agrees & they shake it.
They are engaged and need to discuss the next steps with her lawyers. They shouldn’t tell anyone else until they talk with the lawyers. He thanks her and she leaves the room. He says everything is falling into place but he needs to find the card.
Maggie is downstairs looking at her & Victor’s wedding picture and wonders if she is doing the right thing (NO). Theresa comes in upset & starts crying when Maggie wants to know what is wrong. Theresa tells her about Bella closing but Maggie assures her that the magazine was doomed from the start. Theresa insists that the only reason she got the job was because she pushed herself on Alex. Theresa thought everything was coming together but she has lost everything. Maggie says this is Alex’s fault for putting her on a sinking ship and that she will talk to him.
After Maggie leaves, Konstantin comes in and tells her that Maggie proposed to him. Theresa can’t believe that she would be that gullible to fall for his con. He reminds her of the agreement that he would get ½ of Alex’s half of the estate, in addition to what he will get from Maggie. She doesn’t want to do this anymore. Konstantin admits that he is fond of Maggie, but Victor still owes him.

Maggie owns half a company. That presumably deals with Greece. Why not make up a translator job that "only he" can do and get him a work visa?? Her lawyers suck too. Probably it's Justin.
I'm just disgusted with Maggie for falling for this, Theresa for letting it happen, and Konstantin for existing of course

Maggie slipped in the marriage would be "in name only" but that is quite a sacrifice for a piece of stinking paper.
Kon's false modesty is beyond obvious but Maggie is oblivious. So, it seems.
I thought her pep talk to Theresa was too sugary. The gal failed because she lacked the talent among the prevailing biz winds.
Again this whole Theresa/Kon mix tape just doesn't add up. Why does he need to get his hands on "Alex's" money too? Shouldn't Maggie's nest be enough.
He said he was fond of Maggie to Theresa but he wants John dead. Something is missing here.

What I hate most is that Maggie is so willing to believe the worst of her husband -- VICTOR! -- and feels like she has to do something so dramatic to try and make amends.
Theresa sure knows how to throw herself a pity party. She is right that she was not qualified for the Bella job. Go back to working as a PR assistant at the hospital, or ask cousin Stephanie for a job.

How gross is Theresa going to cry on Maggie's shoulder, knowing that Konstantin is planning to marry and rob her, and saying nothing to prevent it?

When did Theresa and Maggie become so close? And why? She's not a Horton or a Kiriakis. I don't know what their connection is.

When did Theresa and Maggie become so close? And why? She's not a Horton or a Kiriakis. I don't know what their connection is. She lived in the K Mansion when she was first in town. And Maggie was her sponsor. Maggie used to listen to her and offer advice the same way she does to all the younger characters.

carolineleg, do you mean when she was originally in town during her first run or more recently when Theresa first came back as Jen Lilley then morphed into Emily O'Brien?

carolineleg , do you mean when she was originally in town during her first run or more recently when Theresa first came back as Jen Lilley then morphed into Emily O'Brien? No, way back in 2015 - she lived at Victor's place when she and Brady brought Tate home

Theresa just disgusts me. How can you cry on a woman's shoulder when the whole time you've been plotting behind her back? Maggie has been nothing but nice and supportive to her and even became her sponsor? This is how you repay her? I'm so ready to Theresa to be gone.
And Maggie - when did she become so obtuse to things? Is it grief? Is she trying to rationalize things and not miss Victor so much? Has she just absolutely lost her d*** mind? The Maggie I know and love was NOT this gullible.
