This story, the second half of a story that started a few months ago, will be written slightly differently than it's predecessor. It will still be written in the normal "script" form, but from time to time, it will be written from the point of view of Syydney writing in her journal. As with the first "Summer Breeze", this story takes place 14 years into the future, so all of today's children are either teens or young adults. Hope you enjoy! Previews The summer is going by quickly. SYDNEY: Hi. CERI: Hi. And plans are being made. CLAIRE: I wonder what college I should go to. Some good... PHILIP: Beach party. *Melanie tears off Philip's shirt as they kiss* And some not so good... JOHNNY: Excellent. The End of Summer draws near. CERI: Wanna dance? Thanks, guys! My trip was awesome! Details to come in a few days! Casting Two more young adults will be appearing in this story. The first one is played by Corbin Bleu. He will be portraying Ciara's boyfriend. For info on who Ciara's boyfriend is, check one of the earliest chapters of "Summer Breeze"  The second is a character who hasn't been seen or mentioned in a long time. She has connections to Parker. This character will be played by Brie Larson  |

Chapter 1 Remember when you were a kid and it was the last day of school? How happy you were that the school year was over? How excited you were that summer was beginning? That you were finally free from homework, quizzes, tests, teachers, and everything else to do with the educational world for an entire three months? I never was. Maybe it's because I'm so different from everybody else. Because I'm so weird. But, I think it's mostly because of my daddy and the things he did to me. It wasn't always bad. I wasn't always at his house to be used as a pin cushion. Sometimes, I would stay with my mommy and Lucas. But, mommy never really had time to listen to me when I would tell her what daddy would do to me. The only time during summer I was actually happy was when I was with Grandma Marlena and Grandpa John. They were more like parents to me than my real parents. I would be happy when I was around my older brother, Will, too. But, the rest of the time, even after daddy died, I wasn't happy during summer. I don't know why, I just wasn't.PHILIP & MELANIE'S APARTMENT Philip walked down the stairs. Melanie was in the kitchen, cleaning up after dinner. PHILIP: I've been thinking... MELANIE: Didn't hurt yourself, did you? Philip chuckled. PHILIP: Very funny. It was a close thing. But, in all seriousness, I've been thinking about Parker and your nieces and the rest of the kids. And, I thought, since it's the beginning of August, and they go back to school September 1st, that we should work on something to give all of the kids going back to school this year a bit of an end of summer party. MELANIE: Go on. PHILIP: Here's what I'm thinking: the weekend before school starts again, you and me, plus some of the other parents, host an End of Summer Beach Party. MELANIE: Sounds good. I have an idea, too. Melanie walked over to Philip and they kissed. PHILIP: Hm, I like the way you think, Mrs. Kiriakis. The two continue kissing. Melanie ripped off Philip's shirt. The two moved upstairs. As they got to the bedroom, Philip made sure to put up the Do Not Disturb sign that they had gotten, just in case. DIMERA MANSION Johnny was walking around, talking on his cell phone. JOHNNY: No, it's got to be perfect. It's got to be the best in can possibly be. And, she's gotta be hot. Pause. JOHNNY: No, I don't care how long it takes. Just get her to me. Pause. JOHNNY; Excellent. I knew you wouldn't let me down. |

The excerpt from Sydney's journal is so sad. It gave me chills.
I love Philip's idea of an end-of-summer beach party!
I think Johnny is ordering a new car.
