Dinner With the Family SOUNDTRACK “Family Matters Theme” by Jesse Frederick - THE STORY & REMASTERING THE STORY ANDRE DIMERA (Writer): Dinner With the Family was first written in 2009, so a lot of things back then when it was first written are different from how they are now. Will and Mia were together. Chad had barely been on screen and not much was known about him, except that he was the father of Mia's baby. Nicole and E.J. were still married. Stefano had faked his death AGAIN. Tony and Anna were still alive. So, I utilized a bunch of these different storylines. Now, originally, this story was part of a much larger, ongoing story that I had begun in 2008 on a different forum. But, when I came over to MyHourglass, I decided to use this as the beginner for my stories, and I think that that worked out fairly well, This did mean that I had to change a few things around. But, on the whole, the main point of the story remains the same. RETURNING CAST ANDRE DIMERA: At the time, I was not happy with the current actor portraying Brady Black. And, to this day, I still prefer Kyle Lowder over Eric Martsolf. So, I brought him back to play my version of Brady. Also, I had missed Celeste a great deal. And, although we wouldn't know this until the end of the next story, I had Tanya Boyd come back as the Narrator at the end. But, so as not to give her away, I disguised her voice. KYLE LOWDER (Brady Black): It had been a while since I was on Days, and one day my agent called and said that they wanted me back as Brady. At first, I thought it was a mistake because I had seen Eric Martsolf in the role, but they said that a new writer had wanted me back. And, it was a lot of fun coming back. I loved working with Molly (Burnett) for the first time. She is really cool and really funny. Working with Ron (Leath) is always great. Also, though I didn't have any actual scenes with them, it was great to see John (Aniston) and Jay (Johnson) again. They are two great actors. TANYA BOYD (Celeste Perrault/The Narrator): For this episode, I didn't actually appear on set. All of my work was done in voice-over. And, my voice was edited to sound like a man's so as to not give away who the Narrator was. But, all in all, I loved being back on Days. STORYLINES ANDRE DIMERA: All three of the stories are, technically, the same basic idea. A family sitting down to dinner and chaos ensues. For the DiMera family, that wasn't hard to do. The DiMera's are one of the most dysfunctional families out there. THAAO PENGHLIS (André DiMera): When I had first been signed on, I was under the impression that I was playing Tony. It was only until about halfway though the script that I learned I was actually playing André. And, that's where the fun began. I don't quite know why, but I always find it fun to play the baddie. ANDRE DIMERA: The Horton/Roberts dinner with Kate, Lucas, Will, and Mia started off nicely, took a dip in the middle, and ended well again. At the time of writing, nothing was really known about Chad, except that he was Mia's baby's daddy. So, I decided to go the complete opposite of what the show would eventually do and make Chad a complete jerk. Originally, there was a lot more that I had written about Mia and Chad's relationship. I had heavily based it on the kidnapping and torture of Colleen Stan. But, as I finished up writing, I realized how dark it was and I toned it down to the point that only the part about The Company remained true to the story of Colleen Stan. Which, I think, was a good decision because, if you've heard anything about the kidnapping and torture of Colleen Stan, you'll know that it's very dark and depressing. But, I put a bit of light into the end with Sami and Lucas announcing that they will be getting remarried. Finally, we go to Brady & Melanie's story, in which, they are dating. KYLE LOWDER: Brady and Melanie dating is something that, at the time, the show had never really touched on. They were friends, definitely, but it was one of the pair-ups that they hadn't tried. And, it was interesting to see the two of them together. As I said, I loved working with Molly. She was great! CLIFFHANGER ANDRE DIMERA: This was the first part of a trilogy and I left the story on a cliffhanger. Tony is revealed to be André and André is about to shoot Anna, but someone gets to it first. Who would do such a thing? Well, if you've read the next story, then you'll know...

Ok, I you got my attention.. I love how the interviews seem real and so glad you are disguising Celeste... ;D
I will try to visualize Kyle as Brady but I do prefer Eric in the role.

Day of the DiMera's SOUNDTRACK “Baker Street” by Gerry Rafferty - THE STORY ANDRE DIMERA (Writer): ...it was Lawrence! This story was written in late 2009, right around the time that Lawrence Alamain returned, and was murdered. But, for my story, I revived him (without any explanation). This story focused mostly on André and Lawrence's shaky partnership. RETURNING CAST ANDRE DIMERA: I was supremely disappointed with what they did with John, Marlena, and Lawrence! So, I decided to bring all three of them back, as well as Ivan. IVAN G'VERA (Ivan Marais): Ivan keeps switching sides in this story. He starts out with Lawrence, but then he betrays Lawrence and starts working with André. It was very interesting to be back and play him again. MICHAEL SABATINO (Lawrence Alamain): At first, I didn't want to come back. But, I did, on the condition that I would never have to see that scene with Carly stabbing Lawrence ever again during this story. And, they promised me that I wouldn't, and they were right. Anyhow, it was great to work with everyone again. Ivan (G'Vera) is a great man, and I always enjoy working with him. And, I got to work with Thaao (Penghlis), who I don't believe I've worked with before. But, he is another great actor. We had the best time on set. DEIDRE HALL (Hattie Adams): Though I was credited as playing Marlena, I knew when I signed on that I wasn't going to be playing her at all. So, I came back as Hattie Adams, who is one of the funniest characters I've ever gotten to play! I love being her so much! She is just the total opposite of everything that Marlena is. STORYLINES ANDRE DIMERA: Rather than having three similar storylines, I thought I'd have one big storyline for this one. Even the storylines that don't appear to be connected, like the one about John looking for Marlena, does get connected at the end. André and Lawrence make a deal, John tries to find Marlena, but ends up finding Hattie Adams and Tony, André stabs Lawrence in the back (not literally) and breaks the deal, and André declares himself Lord Dictator of Salem. THAAO PENGHLIS (André DiMera/Tony DiMera): I know I've mentioned before how much I love playing André, and this story is no exception. André always goes so over-the-top, and it's so fun to play that. I mean, he declares himself Lord Dictator. What does that even mean? Lord Dictator? Oh, he's such a meglomaniac. Plus, I actually got to play the real Tony in this one, which was good. CLIFFHANGER ANDRE DIMERA: And that is, basically, the end, for the time. André has declared himself Lord Dictator and John and Tony are trying to stop him. There is no true beginning or true ending to this story. This story begins in Dinner With the Family and ends in The Irresistible Rise of André DiMera. The story did not stop at the “end” of this story.

The Irresistible Rise of André DiMera OUNDTRACK “Leaving, on a Jet Plane” by John Denver - THE STORY ANDRE DIMERA (Writer): Written in 2010, this is the finalé of the André DiMera Trilogy. The title is a bit of a misnomer, in that the story is actually about André's downfall. RETURNING CHARACTERS ANDRE DIMERA: The only true returning character was Bart, André's well-meaning but stupid assistant. Though, technically, Marlena returned, played this time by Deidre Hall's twin sister, Andrea. STEVE BLACKWOOD (Bart Beiderbecke): I was back on the set, and it was awesome! I've always loved working with Thaao (Penghlis) and William (Utay)! They are so cool! I also really enjoyed working with Michael (Sabatino) and Andrea (Hall)! I just had a great time! ANDREA HALL (Marlena Evans): I hadn't been on set since 2001, but it was great to be back! And, I was playing my sister's character, which was a big change. Normally, Deidre plays my character, but, for the first time, I played Deidre's character. STORYLINES ANDRE DIMERA: The major storylines involved how André rose to power, how John figured out that Hattie wasn't Marlena, and how John, Marlena, Lawrence, Ivan, and Tony brought André back down. In the end, André kills himself and frames Tony. And, once he gets out of jail after ten years, he leaves the country. THAAO PENGHLIS (André DiMera/Tony DiMera): It was a bittersweet ending. But, it was very good. I particularly enjoyed the “ten years later” ending. That was cool. In the end, we knew that any story involving André rising to any big position of power would never end well. And, it's quite said, actually, to see just how much that André has taken from Tony. He's taken so much that Tony has to resort to impersonating a mass-murdering psycho just to get some of his own life back. ANDRE DIMERA: Well, that's the end of the André DiMera Trilogy. But, not the end of my stories at all.

So glad it's not the end of your stories! This was fun & so different seeing the actor side instead of just the character side.....

This Charming Man SOUNDTRACK “This Charming Man” by the Smiths - “Hotel California” by the Eagles - THE STORY ANDRE DIMERA (Writer): This story was written in 2010 at the time when Philip and Chloe cheated on Melanie and Daniel, and it was my first (and so far, only) collaboration story. The majority of the first few chapters of the story were written in collaboration with my friend and fellow writer, jkjpatch. For the bits that were written by her, I am extremely grateful! RETURNING CHARACTERS ANDRE DIMERA: There were a handful of returning characters in this story, including: Nicholas Alamain, Ivan, Lawrence Alamain, Shawn-D and Belle, Billie, Max, and Chelsea. It was really cool to have all of those people back on set with us. VICTOR WEBSTER (Nicholas Alamain): I hadn't been on the set of Days since...oh, I don't even remember how long it's been, but it's been a while. I was thrilled to be back, especially since I got to work with Louise (Sorel) again. She is an absolute joy to work with! The majority of my scenes were with Molly (Burnett) and Crystal (Chappel), and they were great, too. Especially Molly. She is hilarious! JASON COOK (Shawn-Douglas Brady): I loved coming back. I got to work with Kirsten again, which is always fun. Of course, I got to work with my TV mom Kristian (Alfonso), who I love working with. And, this was my first time working with Alina (Foley), the young girl who plays Claire. So, it was a great experience, and it led to future returns. STORYLINES ANDRE DIMERA: Most of the storyline focuses on Melanie and Nicholas, and Nicholas first appears in the first few chapters under the name Adam Cartwright. Which, I thought was a great name. jkjpatch was the one who came up with that. And, from there, once Adam is revealed to be Nicholas, things change. Nicholas is a lot more sinister than we know. Also, I added in the Nighttime Hope storyline, as that was a big thing back then. I enjoyed the locations shoots. Most of the early chapters took place in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, which is a beautiful area. The only trouble I had was with a scene we attempted to shoot, and only got halfway through, at Wal-Mart. VICTOR WEBSTER: Ooh! The Wal-Mart incident! I remember that! It was all Molly (Burnett)'s fault. MOLLY BURNETT (Melanie Kiriakis): He said it was my fault? Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Let's set the record straight here! I jokingly said that it might possibly be fun to do shopping cart races while André (DiMera, of MyHourglass) wasn't looking. Victor (Webster) is the one who took me seriously and actual instigated the race. ANDRE DIMERA: I don't suppose the cast would tell you much about that, would they? We were halfway through a scene shot at the Wal-Mart in Ladysmith. And, a girl walked past me who looked exactly like Taylor Sprietler. Now, I wasn't going to give up the chance to see Taylor, so I walked away for all of five minutes. When I got back, the Manager was waiting for me. He told me that Victor (Webster) and Molly (Burnett) had been racing shopping carts down the isles and that they had broken some shelves, merchandise was lying everywhere. He was going to call the cops, but I promised them that we would never bother them again. Plus, it doesn't help that I slipped a $50 in his pocket when nobody was looking. Once we got back on the regular Days set, everything went back to normal. VICTOR WEBSTER: I remember getting the script for the last week or two of filming and just thinking, “ooh, this is a bit of a dark turn for my character”. But, I loved it. It's a lot of fun being bad. MICHAEL SABATINO (Lawrence Alamain): I got to work with my TV son, Victor (Webster) for, I believe, the first time. Yes, it would have been the first time, because Eric von Detten played Nicholas the first time around. CRYSTAL CHAPPELL (Carly Manning): I enjoy all of my scenes with both Victor (Webster) and Michael (Sabatino). But, that last scene in particular, where I end up in the White Room, which Michael and I nicknamed Hell, was particularly fun to work on. Simply because it was something very different than we usually do. And, if I come back again, I hope we can do more scenes like that.
