PENTHOUSE GRILLE
NICHOLAS: Alamainia was lovely. I had plenty of time to clear my head after what happened.
TRIX: That’s good.
NICHOLAS: I am sorry about how we left things, Beatrix.
TRIX: No, I know. I could have been more understanding about you needing space.
NICHOLAS: You had just come back from being gone for six months. It’s understandable that you’d be disappointed.
TRIX: We both could have handled it better.
NICHOLAS: Well, there’s no time like the present. That reminds me, you’ve never been to Alamainia, have you?
TRIX: Nope. Heard about it loads from you and Aunt Viv, but never been. I think the closest I came was that one micronation outside of France run by John’s daughter, Greta.
Nicholas nodded.
NICHOLAS: Yes, I recall the one. Well, one of these days, I’ll have to bring you with me to Alamainia.
TRIX: Are you not staying in Salem?
NICHOLAS: I am, but I also plan to be more invested in Alamainia. While I was there, I had several long conversations with our cousin, Sebastian, who is the reigning monarch there, and I’ll be splitting my time between here and Salem. You should come with sometime, you and Ciara, if she’s interested.
TRIX: Sure, that’d be great. What about Cassie, is she gonna come, too?
Nicholas sighed.
NICHOLAS: I don’t know, to be honest. When I was in Alamainia, I didn’t just go no-contact with you, it was everybody in Salem. Amongst my many regrettable decisions, that includes Cassie. And I haven’t quite made time to get back in touch with her.
TRIX: What?! Dad, you have to talk to her! You and Cassie had a great relationship, you can’t let what happened destroy it! That’s like letting Aunt Viv win!
NICHOLAS: I know, darling, I know. And I will. I can only hope she’s half as open to talking with me as you have been.
BRADY PUB
ISAAC: Can I hold the new baby, Dad?
Max and Chelsea glanced at each other.
MAX: I’ve got an idea, buddy, how about we hold her together? I’ll teach you how to hold her.
ISAAC: Okay.
Max and Isaac sat down.
MAX: Okay, hold out your arms, one arm like this…
Max began showing Isaac how to hold a baby, then assisted him in holding Georgia.
BILLIE: That’s so adorable!
CHELSEA: It is!
BO: She’s beautiful, Chels!
Chelsea nodded.
CHELSEA: She sure is. Max and I have been in love with her since the moment we saw her in the nursery.
BO: I’m a little surprised Johnny and Meadow aren’t here.
CHELSEA: I invited them, but Meadow’s only just gotten out of the hospital, so she wasn’t feeling up to it. Johnny wanted to take care of her.
BO: That makes sense.
CLAIRE: How come Trix didn’t come with you?
CIARA: She had dinner with her dad tonight. They haven’t been in a great place since we got back from sailing around the world and he got back from Alamainia, so they’re trying to repair their relationship.
CHASE: Gotcha. That’s good, at least.
CIARA: Yep. Anyway, Georgia is so cute, isn’t she?
CLAIRE: The cutest! I’ve already told Uncle Max and Aunt Chelsea that, when they’re ready, I’m happy to babysit her.
CIARA: Yeah, same here!
HOPE: Have you talked to Julie lately?
SCOTTY: This morning, yes. She’s hanging in there. You know Grandma, she’s tough.
HOPE: That she is. I’ve talked to her recently, too. Julie’s one of the strongest people I know.
STEVE: Congratulations to you and Maxwell, Peach. She’s a cutie.
CHELSEA: Thanks. You’re gonna have to think of a name for her now, unless you want there to be two Peaches.
STEVE: Oh, don’t you worry about that, I’ll come up with somethin’. I do love that you named this little girl after what your mama was originally gonna call you.
CHELSEA: Yeah. Once Max and I saw her, it just felt right.
JOHN & MARLENA’S PENTHOUSE
John and Tate walked in. Marlena, who had been watching TV, turned it off and stood up.
MARLENA; Well, there’s my two baseball fanatics. How was the game?
TATE: It was amazing!
JOHN: Yep, the Cubs won 10 to 1!
MARLENA: Oh, that’s wonderful!
TATE: Totally! Plus, I don’t think I’ve ever been to Wrigley Field before, it was so cool! Thanks a bunch for taking me, Grandpa!
JOHN: Happy to, kid! And hey, make sure you let me know when your baseball games are for Salem High. I meant what I said, I’m coming to all of them.
TATE: Sounds great!
