Maggie's Lemon Squares www.soapoperadigest.com/content/suzanne-rogerss-lemon-square-recipe-0Suzanne Rogers's Lemon Square Recipe! By SOD • Posted: Sep 22, 2009 After Suzanne Rogers (Maggie, DAYS) mentioned her famous lemon squares in our subscriber newsletter, we had many requests for the recipe. "I've had it so long, I don't know where I found it. It may have been in a magazine, but this is over 20 years old. The sheet I have it on is a flimsy, yellow piece of paper!" Rogers says. Here it is: Ingredients 1 3/4 cups flour (sifted) 3/4 cup powdered sugar (sifted) 1/2 pound salted, softened butter •Mix together and press into a 9 X 13-inch Pyrex (glass) square dish. •Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. (Depending on your oven, check after 20 minutes.) As that bakes in the oven, mix 4 eggs 4 tablespoons flour 6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (Hint: Look for sweet lemons.) 2 cups sugar 1/2 teaspoon baking powder •Mix these ingredients together with a hand mixer. •Take out the crust that's been baking in the oven. •While the crust is still hot, pour the new mixture over the crust and bake for 25 more minutes. (Depending on your oven, check after 20 minutes.) •Remove from oven and let cool in dish. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. After it has cooled completely, cut into desired portions. Enjoy!

This is the best buttercream icing ever, all because of the cream and salted butter. 1 cup of salted butter 3 tsps of vanilla 4 cups of icing sugar 4-5 tbsps of coffee cream (18% or higher.) Make sure you use the salted butter. Makes a HUGE difference. Whip the butter with a mixer. Add the icing sugar. Make sure it's fresh icing sugar. believe it or not, icing sugar goes stale rather quickly. Add in the coffee cream. I used 4 tbsps but the more you use, the whippier the icing. Stiffer=less cream. Keep mixing until thoroughly mixed and until it looks fluffy! Enjoy. It's amazing! I will add the from scratch vanilla cupcake recipe when I get home. I don't remember all the details. I use this recipe all the time but instead of cream I use Irish cream, so delicious!

Pumpkin Bread Ingredients 4 Eggland's Best eggs 1/4 cup canola oil 3/4 cup lowfat buttermilk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2/3 cup water 1 can (16 oz) pure pumpkin 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour 3 cups sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1 1/2 teaspoons nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon ginger 2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 350°F; Spray 2 9X5 loaf pans with nonstick cooking spray and set aside. 2 questions: 1. will this work in the bread maker?2. I have to tweek the flour to gluten free but does it have to be canola oil? or can I use a different substitute? In a large bowl, sift together all of the dry ingredients and set aside. In another large bowl, using a hand mixer, or a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, mix all the wet ingredients together until well blended. Gradually add dry ingredients to pumpkin mixture, blending well after each addition. If you are using nuts, stir in after all ingredients are combined. Pour evenly into loaf pans and bake 45-50 minutes, or until tester inserted in the middle of the pans comes out clean. Serve with whipped cream, or powdered sugar and enjoy. Notes and Suggestions One of the loaves can easily be frozen to enjoy later on in the season, or as a delicious, quick dessert for impromptu guests. After cooling completely, remove from pan and wrap tightly with plastic wrap. Bread can be stored in the freezer up to one month. This recipe can make up to 5 small loaves using a 5X3X2 size pan. Follow recipe as directed, but reduce cooking time to 25-30 minutes. Yield Makes 24 servings; 12 servings per loaf. www.egglandsbest.com/recipes/holiday-favorites/recipe/11-10-17/Pumpkin-Bread.aspx?ReturnURL=%2frecipes%2fholiday-favorites.aspx%3fPage%3d4

Sex in a Pan Recipe (no bake) ingredients: crust: 1 cup graham crumbs ( I use GF but it's not at all necessary) 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 2 tblspn salted butter (melted) the rest: 1 cup of cream cheese 2 cups cool whip (separate cups) tspn fresh lemon juice 1/2 cup icing sugar 4 cups of either milk or whipping cream(either works fine) 1 box instant chocolate pudding 1 box instant caramel pudding (again any flavors of pudding you want this is what I use) 3-4 chocolate bars of choice (I use skors some people use crispy crunch, what ever!) directions: 1. mix all crust ingredients and place in a pie tin or glass dish which ever you have (ungreased, pat it down to mold the dish and set aside 2. in a bowl put cream cheese, 1 cup of cool whip, 1/2 icing sugar and lemon juice and mix well with an electric blender for few min on low speed *note* if you don't have an electric mixer you can place it in a large ziplock bag and seal and beat by hand! once mixed apply as your next layer on your crust 3. in another bowl put 2 cups of milk and chocolate pudding mix and blend with an electric mixer on low for 2 min until it's pudding consistency! place as your next layer 4. in another bowl, add caramel pudding mix with remaining 2 cups of milk and beat on low with electric mixer for 2 min place in dish as your next layer 5. take the next cup of cool whip and place as your next layer (if you need more than a cup depending on your dish its fine 6. smash up your chocolate bars of choice into pieces and sprinkle over top 7. let chill in the fridge for 1 hour and enjoy

It is not a large crockpot but not the smallest either I think it would probably serve about 6 by the time you put equal amounts of ice cream with it. By the way, for my new glutarded friend there is no flour in this! This is why I have been making it!
