EXECUTIVE PRODUCER'S OFFICE AT NBC STUDIOS – BURBANK, CALIFORNIA
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from Kpatch): Like I said, sad and beautiful.
PHILIP: Man, what kind of ending is that?!
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): It's called an ho-madge.
DIEDRE: I think you mean homage.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Whatever. It's supposed to be based on this movie called Blade Runner.
SHAWN-D: But, Days of Our Lives is a soap opera, it's got nothing to do with Blade Runner.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Poetic licensing, Jason, my man.
SHAWN-D: Actually, it's Shawn. Jason Cook is the actor who plays me.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Whatever. You all look the same to me.
KIRSTEN: Well, of course they do. They're the same person.
MARLENA: Mr. Dorkay, I must ask, why is it that you feel the need to cancel Days of Our Lives?
Dorkay put his hand on Marlena's shoulder.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): I grew weary of you.
BRADY: Hey, so do I, but not enough to punish all of us.
Dorkay shook his head.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I mean I grew weary of all of you.
TONY: So, there's no chance that you'll give them more life?
Dorkay shook his head.
TONY: What if they got picked up online?
DIEDRE: After what happened to All My Children, I'm not sure anyone would be keen to go through that again.
J.J.: Okay, well what about a sitcom? Give some of us some happy stuff to do for a change.
PHILIP: Or, what about an prime time adventure series?
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): An prime rib Advent what?
PHILIP: A weekly adventure series. Me, Chloe, Shawn and Belle could all team up. We become ISA agents and go on fantastic adventures. Every week, one of us gets captured, and the others have to save them. The others could guest star, too, if they want.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Not gonna happen. It's the end, but the moment has been prepared for. Accept it, and die well.
They all heaved a collective sigh.
J.J.: Fair enough.
J.J. pulls out a gun and points it at Dorkay.
JAY: Whoa! I didn't know J.J. was packing heat!
Theresa runs over and picks up the gun off of Dorkay's desk and does the same.
MICHELLE: Or, Theresa for that matter.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Now, now, guys, let's just put the guns down and chill.
J.J.: Then tell us that you'll help us.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, form kpatch): You do realize that if you kill me, you'll cease to exist. You have been following this, right?
J.J.: I've been dead for years, man.
THERESA: Same here. We've just been wasting our lives the last few years. J.J. and I never thought there was anyone on our side, or anybody who wanted things to work out.
J.J.: But, we were wrong. We have fans. We have people who love us. People who care about us and want us to succeed!
They motioned to Jack and Michelle, who stood next to them.
THERESA: We want more life.
J.J.: Now.

Go JJ and Teresa! I hope they can convince Dorkay to help them. The ending he has planned would be awful for the fans and the characters.

I would love it if J.J. and Theresa put an end to Dorkay. It was also really touching what they said about them having fans that love them, especially with their most loyal fans standing by them.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER'S OFFICE AT NBC STUDIOS – BURBANK, CALIFORNIA
Jack put his hand on J.J.'s shoulder, as did Michelle on Theresa's.
JACK: Put the gun down, J.J.
J.J.: Come on, Jack. You know this dude is gonna kill us the second I put this gun down.
MICHELLE: This isn't the answer. We'd all like to get rid of Dorkay, but not like this.
THERESA: Why not?
JACK: This isn't you. This isn't either of you.
MICHELLE: There are other ways to change things. But, Dorkay's right. If you kill him, you'll be killing yourselves.
J.J. sighed and put the gun down.
J.J.: They've got a point.
Reluctantly, Theresa put the gun down.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from Kpatch): Wow, that was anti-climactic.
PHILIP: Would you rather be dead instead?
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Okay, okay. Good point.
Tony's phone buzzed. He picked it up and answered.
TONY: Hello?
Pause.
TONY: Hey, Bri. What's up?
Pause.
TONY: Oh, yeah. I'm here with a whole bunch of them. Seven, to be precise. Plus Jack and Michelle.
Pause.
TONY: Yeah, we made it to NBC. We're here with the executive producer of Days of Our Lives, Dick Dorkay.
Pause.
TONY: Okay.
Tony took the phone from his ear and pushed a button.
TONY: You're on speaker now.
BRI (over phone): Dorkay, are you listening?
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): I'm here.
BRI (over phone): I've been watching Days for a long time. So have Jack, Tony and Michelle, and thousands of other people all over the world. And, I gotta tell you, we're very unhappy with the decision to cancel Days.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): And?
BRI: And, we know that you can fix this. You need to. You can't cancel Days. I don't care what it takes, just keep Days on the air. Otherwise, you'll have several thousand angry fans to deal with.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): So?
BRI: You don't want to see us when we're angry. Oh, and I have someone who wants to talk to you.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Who?
BRI: Oh, you know who. Tony, hand Dorkay the phone and take it off speaker.
Tony did so.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Hello? Oh, it's you. Molly...
Pause.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Molly, I was just...
Pause.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): It's about the...
Pause.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): But what about...
Pause.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): But, but, but...
Pause. Dorkay sighed.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Okay, okay, okay.
Pause.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Yes, I'll see you soon.
Pause.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Bye.
Dorkay hung up and handed the phone back to Tony.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): So, as you can tell, that was Molly. She had a few sharp words for me. And, we've come to an understanding.
J.J. flickered.
J.J.: Wha-what the heck?
He flickered again. Literally. His body was fading in and out.
JACK: J.J.?
JAY: Okay, what the hell is happening?
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): I don't know. I've never seen anything like this before.
MARLENA: What are you doing to him? You're the creator, you must be doing something.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): I'm telling you the truth! I'm not doing anything!
J.J.: Well, whatever it is, it feels weird. Almost like I'm...
J.J. vanished completely.

All I can say is I am glad it's not Friday!!! Can't wait to see what happens next.

Woooo hooo!!! So glad that Bri got Molly after Dorkay! Dorkay better watch his step tho - having 2 red heads after him won't be a pretty sight......and I have a feeling that Bri is just as much a spitfire as Molly is.

What the heck is going on with JJ? I hope it's not too late for everyone!

Chapter 18

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER'S OFFICE AT NBC STUDIOS – BURBANK, CALIFORNIA
MARLENA: What just happened?
BRADY: He's gone. J.J.'s gone.
Brady and Theresa became partially translucent.
THERESA: And it looks like we're next!
Brady took Theresa's hand.
THERESA: Michelle, I'm not sure if I'm gonna disappear or not, but if I do, I just wanna say: thank you for believing in me, and telling me that I'm a good person.
MICHELLE: You're welcome, Theresa. I hope to see you onscreen.
Michelle walked over to Theresa and gave her a hug and a peck on the cheek. Then, she walked back over to the others, as they watched Brady and Theresa vanish.
PHILIP: What the hell is going on here?
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from @jkjpach): I can honestly say that I have no idea.
Very soon, Belle and Shawn-D were fading in and out.
MARLENA: Belle!
BELLE: Mom!
Marlena turned to Dorkay.
MARLENA: Stop this! Stop this right now!
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): I told you, I'm not doing anything! I don't know how to stop it, even if I wanted to, because I'm not doing this!
Shawn-D took Belle's hand.
SHAWN-D: I don't know what's gonna happen, but it's been...an experience.
BELLE: Thank you, Jay, and you Kirsten, for all your help.
The two faded out. Marlena turned to Diedre.
MARLENA: I'm guessing either myself or Philip is next.
DIEDRE: Judging by the way events are moving, I'd say so.
MARLENA: Thank you, Diedre.
DIEDRE: You're welcome, Marlena.
MARLENA: I just have one more request.
DIEDRE: Anything for you.
MARLENA: As you must know, I had an identical twin sister, Samantha.
DIEDRE: Yes. In real life, she's my mirror twin, Andrea.
MARLENA: When you see Sam...I mean, Andrea, please tell her hello.
DIEDRE: I will.
Marlena became translucent.
MARLENA: Well, I seem to be going.
DIEDRE: Good luck.
MARLENA: It's been nice meeting me.
DIEDRE: It certainly has.
Diedre and Marlena shook hands and Marlena vanished.
PHILIP: Looks like I'm the last man standing. Last fictional man, anyway.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Sure does, Philip, my man. I gotta get outta here, though.
PHILIP: What? No! You can't just leave me like this!
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): I have to. Molly needs me back at the office. She says she's found a way to save Days.
Dorkay pointed at Tony, Jack Kirsten and Michelle.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): She wants you to come with.
TONY: Us?
MICHELLE: Seriously?
JACK: Why?
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Hell, how should I know? All she said was that she needed you three, and another member of MyHourglass to meet her. Personally, I think she's off her rocker, or her meds, whichever comes first. Come on.
Dorkay, Tony, Jack, and Michelle walked to the door.
DICK DORKAY (borrowed, with permission, from kpatch): Good luck with the whole fictional thing, Philip.
Dorkay walked out.
TONY: It's been interesting.
Tony and Philip shook hands.
PHILIP: Thanks for the help.
Tony walked out. Michelle gave Philip a hug and walked out.
KIRSTEN: I hope you find a way to get back home, Philip. Good luck.
Kirsten kissed Philip on the cheek, then left. Jack patted Philip on the back.
JACK: I'll keep watching for you, man.
PHILIP: Thanks.
Jack and Philip shook hands, then Jack walked out.
PHILIP: So, looks like it's just us three.

[Kpatch]

This reminds me of Back to the Future, when Marty was fading out because it seemed like his parents would never get together and he'd never get born. I hope Molly's plan works, and fast.

I hope this means they've all.gone back to TV Land. Can't wait to see what happens next.
